Cellphone video of Harvey Unga's game-winning touchdown

BYU 17 Utah 10

The gamewinner -- with 34 seconds left.

Note how Harvey bowls over a Ute defender at the goal line.

Note also the fans' reaction to the TD :-)

Check out this link to a prior post and SL Trib story about Harvey.

BYU v. Utah: a 7-year cycle?

Rhiannon Potkey (SL Trib Cougar sports beat writer):
"Backed up against his own end zone with just over a minute remaining in the game. Trailing by one point, the quarterback completes a clutch pass on fourth-and-long that leads to the game-winning rushing touchdown to beat rival Utah.
"Brandon Doman lived the experience seven years ago, and watched it unfold again in eerily similar fashion last Saturday."
Read the whole story (November 24th, 7 plays, 80 yards, fumble, critical 4th and long pass completion, rushing TD, 2-point conversion to provide 7-point margin...). Hmm.

Iraq: no news is good news

"THERE is a reason Iraq has almost disappeared as an election issue.

"Here it is: The battle is actually over. Iraq has been won."

Read all about it Down Under.

UPDATE: Even the NYT now acknowledges security is improved (11/20/07). As Glenn Reynolds would say, "Hmm."

UPDATE: Omigosh. It's official: even Rep. John Murtha (D), returning from Iraq, says, "I think the surge is working."
