WH: Firing an Inspector General

"Political courage" in violation of law (summary dismissal without required 30-day notice to Congress) -- or an overtly "political act" to protect corruption?

Wasn't Nixon's firing of a special prosecutor the beginning of the end for him?

Where's the outrage? You decide if the Obama administration is becoming the imperial presidency. And decide if anyone cares.

UPDATE: Oops! Two more IGs being fired by White House. A pattern of corruption -- or trying to cover up corruption?

I worked for DoD IG back in the 90's. If an IG is not independent, aggressive, and fair, corruption gets free rein.

The Chicago Times (Obama's hometown paper) is actually covering this. Hmm.
