We finally bit the bullet. Our 1996 Ford Windstar has nearly 200,000 miles and has been a faithful servant -- but it's got some sporadic (3 x) unresolved "won't start" issues. So we asked friend Greg Baum (
Naylor Auto) to stalk the auctions for us for a Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna with low miles. He eventually found a 2007 Toyota Sienna with 28,000 miles from seller Enterprise Rent-a-Car. We picked it up Saturday. Looks like this:
It's reminiscent of our old 19?? Toyota Spacecruiser right-hand drive we had in England (same exterior color). Looked something like this (except green metallic instead of silver):
But it's got a ton of neat features (including MP3 ready), power to burn, and it's super spacious. Can't wait to take it on a long road trip.
One of the kids will inherit the Windstar (safe around town, just not on the road).
