Peggy Noonan has a somewhat different take on the speech, which I post here for whatever it is worth. I do not agree with her on this. Yes, earth is not heaven, and it is unrealistic to expect to eradicate tyranny in such an imperfect world. But to paraphrase Mr. Shaw, while we cannot eliminate tyranny altogether, we can at least reduce the number of tyrants.
