Views of an Iranian dissident

Iran is on my mind a lot these days, partly because the regime's nuclear saber-rattling is a subject that should be of concern to any well-informed person, and partly because I have developed a cherished friendship with someone who actually lives there. In my view, she, rather than Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the mullahs who call the shots for him, represents what this beautiful and remarkable country is really all about. This interview with an Iranian dissident suggests that my view does not represent mere wishful thinking, and that with 70% of its population under the age of 30, Iran may in fact be full of individuals cut from the same piece of cloth as my friend.
